«zur Wand» Basel: Im Gespräch mit Alba De Zanet
«zur Wand» ist ein Schauraum vom unabhängigen, gemeinnützigen Verein wiewaersmalmit.ch an der Andlauerstrasse 2 in 4057 Basel. Der Raum ist ein interdisziplinärer Safe Space für diverse Menschen und offenen Austausch. Wir sprachen mit Künstlerin Alba De Zanet.

Liebe Alba, wer bist du und wie kamst du «zur Wand»?
Dear Alba, who are you and how were you involved at “zur Wand”?
Ich bin eine Berner Künstlerin und arbeite hauptberuflich als Illustratorin und Designerin in meinem Studio in Bern. Ich habe eine Leidenschaft für knallige Farben und wilde Muster. Am liebsten male ich Füdlis. Die Charaktere – die ich liebevoll meine «Butt Berties» nenne – verkörpern Unbeschwertheit, Optimismus und Humor. Der Stil ist laut und bunt. Mit meiner Kunst möchte ich Leute zum Schmunzeln bringen und freue mich, mit «zur Wand» meinen Füdlis eine Bühne zu geben und ganz viele neue Gesichter kennen zu lernen.
I’m an artist from Bern and I work full-time as an illustrator and designer in my studio in Bern. I have a passion for bright colors and wild patterns. My favorite thing to draw is Füdlis. The characters - which I call my “Butt Berties” - embody lightheartedness, optimism and humor. The style is loud and colorful. With my art I want to make people smile and am happy to give my “Füdlis” aka “butts” a stage with “zur Wand” and to meet many new faces.
