«zur Wand» ist ein Schauraum vom unabhängigen, gemeinnützigen Verein wiewaersmalmit.ch an der Andlauerstrasse 2 in 4057 Basel. Der Raum ist ein interdisziplinärer Safe Space für diverse Menschen und offenen Austausch. Wir sprachen mit Sebastian Day von «Sondershop3000» in Basel.

Lieber Sebastian, was ist «Sondershop3000» und wie wehslab ist «zur Wand» eine gute Plattform für gegenseitige Unterstützung?
Dear Sebastian, what is “Sondershop3000” why is “zur Wand” a good platform for mutual support?
«Sondershop3000» ist eine Plattform, wo lokale junge Künstler*innen und Designer*innen eine Möglichkeit kriegen, ihre Kreativität, ihr Handwerk ihre Mode mit der Stadt Basel zu teilen. Wie auch der «zur Wand» Space sind wir auf Kollaboration und der Förderung junger Kultur aus.
“Sondershop3000” is a platform where local young artists and designers get a chance to share their creativity, their craft and their fashion with the city of Basel. Like “zur Wand” space, we are focused on collaboration and the promotion of young culture.
Was inspiriert dich?
What inspires you?
Mich inspiriert die Freude der Menschen wenn sie etwas Tolles in unserem Laden finden, dass jemand aus Basel selber gemacht hat.
I am inspired by people’s joy when they find something great in our shop that someone from Basel has made themselves.
Wovon braucht die Schweiz mehr bzw. weniger?
What does Switzerland need more of, or less of?
Weniger «Fast Fashion», mehr kreatives Upcycling und lokale Kleiderkultur.
Less “fast fashion”, more creative upcycling and local clothing culture.
Wie wär’s mal mit…

...einem Kleiderschrank voll mit Mode aus Basel.
